Shannon Brown

Musical Director

Former tenor and Musical Director for the internationally acclaimed group The Ten Tenors, Shannon toured full-time for six years, performing an average of 250 shows per year across five continents. Amidst incredible international success, The Ten Tenors recorded a platinum selling record ‘Here’s To The Heroes’ with composers John Barry and Don Black.

The album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios with the London Symphony Orchestra and the show was performed in venues such as the Sydney Opera House, the Schauspielhaus in Germany, the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angels, and London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Shannon is originally from Wollongong but is now based in Sydney. He has recently just finished studying his Bachelors of Music at the Australian Guild of Music and is now a university lecturer at Sydney’s JMC Academy.

Recently, Shannon was the Musical Director and piano accompanist for the Marina Prior & Mark Vincent Show, touring in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. He continues his seven year collaboration as musical directer for the 2009 Australia’s Got Talent winner, Mark Vincent.

Nominated for Best Musical Director by the Canberra Area Theatre (CAT) Awards for So Popera’s production of Little Shop of Horrors that performed at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre. In 2015, Shannon was the Musical Director and orchestra manager for the Sydney season of Avenue Q – The Musical held at the Enmore Theatre.

Shannon has gained invaluable experience working with some of Australia’s top music industry professionals like John Foreman OAM, Chong Lim, Ken Laing AM, and John Morrison. He has also had the privilege of working with Golden Globe producer Simon Franglen, jazz drummer extraordinaire Vinnie Colaiuta, and the Grammy Award winning film composer and conductor, Nicholas Dodd.

Peter Robinson

Musician / Songwriter

Peter is a professional Musician / Songwriter and make his living Conducting and Producing Recordings "sweetening" songs for songwriters & artists, musical direction, live gigs, and working with local and international artists.

He worked as a freelance writer, arranger, producer and session musician for various record companies, building up and maintaining a fine reputation throughout the 60's, 70's and 80's. Peter produced and performed on over 100 charted hits for such major Australian artists as: John Farnham, Johnny Young, Russell Morris, Ronnie Burns, Buddy England, Town Criers, John Williamson, Ted Mulry, Johnny Chester, Colin Cook, Merv Benton, Pat Carroll, Lionel Rose and Johnny O'Keefe

Mario Dobernig

Mario Dobernig is a world renowned conductor and a professional percussionist who has toured China, Austria, Germany, Finland, Estonia, Croatia, Italy, Australia and Canada for companies such as Graz Opera, Finnish Radio Symphony, Tapiola Sinfonietta, Avanti! Chamber Orchestra, Sinfonia Jyväskylä and Kuopio Symphony Orchestra.

Recently, Mario completed his PhD at the University of Melbourne and he also holds Masters degrees in Conducting, Percussion and Musicology from the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, University of Helsinki and the Kunstuniversität Graz, Austria. His scholarships and awards include the Melbourne International Research Scholarship and Melbourne International Postgraduate Research Scholarship from the University of Melbourne.

Bruce Adderly Sound Studios Pty. Ltd. opened in West Melbourne in March 1974 where it successfully ran for 12 years. In 1986, the Studio was relocated to a 10 acre rural property at Kialla in North Eastern Victoria offering our clients an opportunity to work in a creative, beautiful relaxed environment away from all the pressures of the city.

Prior to establishing the studio Bruce Adderly was a Senior Audio Director with HSV Channel 7 Melbourne for 15 years where he was responsible for all major live variety shows including Sunny Side Up, The Mike Walsh Show and many more, he also engineered a series of Live to air Dramas with producer Peter Coates from the BBC. Other dramas included Consider Your Verdict, Homicide and Cop Shop.

He also engineered award winning Television Specials produced by Norman Spencer, these included Ray Charles, Herb Alpert, Andy Stewart and Gene Pitney all at Festival Hall Melbourne, Shirley Bassey at Checkers Night Club Sydney, Marlene Deitrich at the Princess Theatre and the huge Seekers Concert at the Sydney Myer Music Bowl.
